Year of weather records

It seem the NHC has named it's sixth Greek-named storm, Tropical Storm Zeta. This year has been slow as far as tornadoes go, but it seems it will be remember for a while as the year of abnormal amounts of tropical storms. This was the first year (at least that I can find record of) that the NHC has gone to their backup list of tropical storm names derived from the Greek alphabet. So not only have we used one of them, we are on number six. All of this makes me wonder how 2006 will pan out. As I write this, the forecast for today in Tulsa, OK (in the END of December) calls for a high of almost 60 degrees today and around 63 degrees tomorrow.

Good-bye 2005

2005 is coming to a close and I would like to thank everyone I was out with during this year's season. Hopefully 2006 will bring us a little more excitment, but until then, I wish you all a safe and happy New Year.

Special thanks goes out to:
Justin T.
Joseph T. (T-money)
Steve M.
Matt P.

...and my beloved girlfriend Jennifer, for letting me out on the chase (and occasionally joining).

Viva 2006!

Re-done the site

I've just about finished with the site, so I went ahead and put it up. Still working on a few things (greyed out in the menu), but the bulk of it is here. Let me know what you think and what else I might add or things I might change.

Site re-vamp in the works

I'm currently in the process of re-building my site. Still going to look similar, just cleaning up a lot of the code and changing some of the things that need to be changed. Stay tuned, should have it done in a week or two if not sooner... boomer sooner :\

Porsche Carrera GT spotted in Tulsa

Spotted one of these half a million dollar bad boys at 71st and Riverside today about 1pm. Don't know if it's a resident of the city or what, but it was here none the less.

The Laptop

Well, like they say, "nothing in this world is free." My mother had an 'incident' with her laptop and I ended up getting it. $100 later for a new screen, and I had a working laptop. I was pretty happy that I finally got a laptop to use for chasing. I got my GPS setup the day of out last chase (and probably the final chase of the year), so things were looking good. Until I tried to install Service Pack 2 for Windows XP Professional. This has been a 5 day nightmare. I've done just about everything I can think of and reformatted the crap out of this hard drive. It seems every time I finally quit and just install XP, some new information would come along that I would try to get SP2 on the computer. I finally quit last night and just installed XP and said to hell with it. Then again, I get a tip on what I might do to get SP2 on. I'm so frustrated right now, it hurts. The following are some help forums this problem has been posted to:

Toshiba's Recommended Forum

Microsoft

My next goal is to follow Microsoft's KB310760 once I convince myself to format the computer again, but after all I've tried, I don't think anything is gonna work.
