Chase Report - 10/1/05
Well, as far as busts go, I think this one counts... in fact I think this one owns. This is a bad case of deja vu. In April or May, don't remeber which, I went on a chase to the exact same place with the exact same setup... and saw the exact same thing. A sunset. We were only 4 miles East of where I was back then and all the numbers showed that it was gonna go and go big, but again, the cap kept the sky clear.
Justin T., Joseph T., Steve M., Matt P. (and his girl), and myself left Tulsa sort of mid-afternoon and rushed to Enid just in time to stop at Taco Bueno for a quick bite. As we went in, it looked like things were getting ready to go, but when we came out 20 minutes later, the sky had cleared. Justin started to call the bust, but we headed just West of Enid to hang out and hope for the best. About 1800hrs, Justin called the bust and as we were leaving we thought we saw a tower going up to the South (Justins target area), but it turned out to be nothing more than a puff of cloud in the haze. So we headed back to T-Town just in time for Justin to catch the second half of the OU game. Steve, Matt and his girl stayed behind for a bit, but nothing panned out.
2005 is the suckiest year ever (since 1950 and I have the records to prove it!)
